Hunters is really good but it's not what I would call a traditional Metroid game as it's more of an FPS. Still great in multiplayer though.

The Home Console Prime games have more variety of bosses. Of the trilogy, MP2 has the hardest bosses. Spider Guardian can be considered one of the hardest bosses ever.

Not with the Annihilator Beam. I thought he was easy enough, though maybe I've gotten better at Metroid games. When I first started playing them, I died about 6 times on Meta-Ridley.

On hard mode, the first form creams me which makes it difficult to do the last form. Seeker Missiles are too hard to aim at the tentacles so I just use missiles.

Here's a decent strategy: http://www.metroid2002.com/0/boss_tricks_ridley.php

I actually killed him on a 15% normal run once using this strategy. It took about 50 tries, but still.....

The movie doesn't work on my PC for some reason. There might be something up with the site. Could you describe the trick?

Stay under his back claws as much as possible. His tail and front claws are dangerous, but his back claws are harmless. Even when he drops down to grab you, you can't get hurt as long as you stay directly underneath his back claws.

If I ever play through Metroid Zero Mission again then I'll remember that trick. Ridley's easy anyway though, well, once you start shooting upwards.

Well, I played on Normal straight away, and once I figured out how to beat him I did. Still died a few times on Hard but beat him eventually.

Has anyone here done 9% on Hard in MZM? I've seen vids of people doing various boss fights and they always make it look so easy....
