I just came up with this idea yesterday, so I don't have much for details yet.

The story goes like this: Samus lands on a once Chozo-controlled planet and is involved in a strange accident that causes time throughout the universe to fluctuate. She encounters various creatures and people from her past, including Adam Malkovitch, her Chozo caretaker-people, Mother Brain, the Metroid Larva, Ridley, her parents, the SA-X, Dark Samus/Metroid Prime, the Ing, Gorea, and many more, as well as a few things that might be in future Metroid games. Maybe things from way in the future (assuming Samus finds someone to settle down with), such as her children or grandchildren.

Again, I don't have much thought up and nothing is cement. Any thoughts?

It's an interesting idea. Perhaps events that happened across the Metroid series could be taking place at the same time now and all manner of complications could occur.

Just imagine - Dark Samus vs. SA-X, the Omega Metroid raids a Space Pirate Colony, Metroid Prime vs. the Gorea.....

By the way, this would be placed after Fusion, so should Samus have her original suit, or the new, Fusion version?

Just a random thought here, but isn't Samus part of 3 species now, at least according to her DNA? She was born human, got infused with Chozo DNA, and I think that the vaccine from Fusion made her part Metroid, since she can actually absorb the X, not just kill them.

The suit could be a combination of suits. Perhaps when time gets mixed up, so does Samus' suit. And yes, Samus is a mixture of three species now, and the first in a breed of superhumans.

That would be a really weird looking suit.

Samus the superhuman, hmm? No wonder she's always saving the galaxy....

You've got to admit it's true though.

Perhaps you could have to fight Dark Samus AND Metroid Prime at the same time.

That's not even fair. You'd be obliterated in seconds! Unless, of course, the SA-X got to fight with you.

By the way, would this be 2-D or 3-D? Personally, I think it should be made for both DS and Wii. That way, it can be 2D for DS and 3D for Wii.

It could be both. The gameplay could be 2D at certain points and 3D at others. So you have 2D rooms and 3D Rooms.

Oh, and the Dark Samus and Metroid Prime fight has one of the other hunters battling alongside you. The other hunter is CPU controlled, though you can also do this battle in Co-op. I'm thinking maybe having a drop-in drop-out co-op mode. Of course, Samus will always be Player 1 but Player 2 will differ depending on the scenario.

If Samus somehow managed to reach an agreement with the SA-X (maybe it's more intelligent than we thought... Shocked) player 2 could almost always be Samus, albeit slightly different than player 1.

True.

Or maybe Samus could find her long lost sibling who somehow has got hold of a powersuit and player 2 takes control of them. But the SA-X is probably a better idea.

Shocked a long lost sibling....? Sounds like one hell of an idea for a future situation! You know, it could probably be her daughter too.....

Maybe P2 just has a different persona in different areas.

Perhaps so. That would mean all scenarios would have to be adapted for two players though.

True. Which could lead to a second, slightly different storyline for **** gamers where you're by yourself.

Well, if it's called Time Paradox then that would fit in well, since there could be two completely different scenarios that run parallel to each other.

I never thought of that.....

Which could possibly lead to a battle between Samuses. With an extra character thrown in there somewhere.

You know, it'd be kind of nice if someone else put something up here. We're the only ones to say anything so far.
